Virtuemart themes are design templates for the Joomla! eCommerce software called "Virtuemart". Using a Virtuemart theme, you can change the appearance of Virtuemart without any programming or design skills. Back in 2008, www.yagendoo.com has been the first provider of Virtuemart themes worldwide!

All you need to use a Virtuemart theme is a Joomla! and a Virtuemart installation on which you can install the theme. Even beginners can install Virtuemart themes without any problems and with a few clicks only.

Starting in 2011/2012, we have to differentiate between two types of Virtuemart themes. There are Virtuemart themes for Virtuemart 1.1.x and Virtuemart themes for Virtuemart 2.0.x

The difference between the two versions lies in the design and the code structure. In most cases, you will not see a difference in the appearance of the themes.

While Virtuemart version 1.1. contained its own theme system, Virtuemart version 2.0.x uses the override system common in Joomla! Thus, it is not possible to use a Virtuemart 1.x theme also for Virtuemart 2.x. Independent of the different structure of the Virtuemart themes, both the programming languages and the technologies in the background are almost identical. For example, all versions of Virtuemart themes use the following elements and script languages: PHP, MySQL, CSS, XHTML, JavaScript, XML and of course visual elements.

As we have already mentioned above, there are different Virtuemart themes for different versions of Virtuemart and Joomla! On the product detail pages of our Virtuemart themes, you can find information on the version for which the themes have been developed and can be used.

Each Virtuemart theme you can buy in our shop can be used independent of the Joomla! template used. Thus, theoretically, you can use our themes next to your existing Joomla! template – no matter if you have created it yourself or purchased it from another template provider. However, we can only guarantee perfect compatibility of our Virtuemart for our own Joomla! and Virtuemart templates as we cannot guarantee that other providers keep the standards provided by Joomla! and Virtuemart as we do.

After you have purchased the licenses for all products you want to use in our shop and we have received your payment, you will get an email with the download details. The product download contains one or possibly several zip archives with themes files you can then install in your Joomla!
