In the past, we have already published a Virtuemart cart module with images as part of our standalone Virtuemart themes. Unfortunately, this used to require a modification of Virtuemart-own files (it did not affect complete themes).

For that reason and on request by our customers, we have now published a new module for Joomla! & Virtuemart that does not only iron out this unpleasant side-effect but also provides some great new features. Thus, we now discontinue our support of the old Minicart theme.

What are the new features of the Virtuemart cart module?

• Possibility to add products to the cart without having to reload the page
• Choice between different views: "Vertical/Horizontal"
• Alignment can be selected
• Normal and flat view; in the flat view, you can expand the cart
• Many other module parameters to align and define the output

Our Virtuemart Ajax Cart module is XHTML and CSS compliant, does not contain tables and is structured the same way as the Joomla! framework itself. This ensures that you can freely customize and adjust the design of your module using template overrides. From 2011 on, all of our Joomla! & Virtuemart templates will use this technology and provide their own Joomla! template overrides. Your entire website will then have the same design – a great step towards your perfect shop.
