We are proud to present our latest release, a Joomla! extension for Virtuemart, the Joomla! eCommerce solution. In Virtuemart, managing meta data is pretty difficult or not possible at all. Previously, meta data has been derived from existing data, e.g. the short description of the product, the category description or the product or category title. Thus, Virtuemart has pre-assigned the values.

As a shop owner, however, you want to have full control of your shop and in particular of search-engine relevant settings like the meta data of the individual Virtuemart products and categories. And our new enhancement provides you with exactly this control. Assign individual meta data to each Virtuemart product, each Virtuemart category and to the shop homepage to increase the search-engine ranking of your shop without making any changes to the front-end of your shop which are noticeable to your customers.

The enhancement consists of a component that enables a centralized input of Virtuemart meta data and a plug-in that enables the direct input of Virtuemart product or category data into fields which are made available in Virtuemart. Of course, we made sure that you do not have to change any Virtuemart files, i.e. that no Virtuemart hack is necessary.
