Installing the Virtuemart VM Module for Image Categories is very easy and takes just a few steps. In the following, you lean how to install and implement the Yagendoo Virtuemart Module for Image Categories after downloading it.

1. Installing the Yagendoo Virtuemart Category Accordeon Module

Installation

a) Unzip the package you have downloaded via the download link after the purchase to a local folder on your pc. It contains the module package and several files with information.

b) Navigate into your Joomla! backend to the Joomla! installer and select the module package you have previously downloaded to your PC and which is now on your pc. Install it using Joomla! installer. If the installation was succesful, you will see the message that the module was successfully installed.

Note: As some servers are not 100% Joomla! compatible, please check the chmod rights of the files and folders. All folders have to be set at a chmod of 755 and all files at a chmod of 644.

2. Overview on the Yagendoo Virtuemart Category Accordeon Module

Configuring the Accordeon Category Module

The Accordeon Module shows the categories of your Virtuemart shop in the shape of an accordion. The sub-menu items open after clicking on the "plus" icon and close again when the user clicks on the "minus" icon.

Moreover, you can display the number of products each category contains.

3. Configuring the Accordeon Category Module

In the next step, navigate to the menu item extensions->module in your backend. Here, you will find the "Yagendoo Virtuemart Category Accordeon" module.

Among other settings, you can make the changes mentioned above. In the next step, the categories to be displayed are set.

In the next entry field, you have the possibility to count the products in the respective category. These will then be shown in brackets behind the category's name.

The last setting is the compatibility mode. Since the structure of the module corresponds to a regular Joomla menu, it is often the case that the modul is not displayed correctly. If you activate the compatibility mode, another list type will consequently be used, which will usually solve the problem. If the problem continues to exist, please refer to the FAQ.

4. FAQ

The Yagendoo Virtuemart Module for the Accordeon Categories does not look good, appears ill structured or won't open.

In some cases. the template of your Joomla website overwrites the module settings. Activate the compatibility mode in the module parameters.

The following trick may help if the compatibility mode has not solved the problem: Using ftp, download the main css file (usually named "template.css") from the css file folder (often named "css", "style" or "styles") in the templates/IHR-TEMPLATE/ folder.
Please also download the yagendoo.css from the modules/mod_yagendoo_vm_cat_acc/assets/css folder.
Copy all content from the Yagendoo css to the end of the template css. The problem should be solved. If this does not solve the problem, repeat the process with other css files from your template. In the next step, re-load the changed template css file to your server.
This trick may also help with other modules or components that appear incorrectly.

I have created a new category, but it's not displayed.

Navigate to the module's parameters in the Joomla! backend and check if the new category has been marked in the category field. Another possibility is that the category is not activated in Virtuemart.

The individual menu items appear in wrong parallel or horizontal positions.

Check the alignment field of the module (second configuration field from below). Depending on the module's position, another value has to be set here.

When I try to install the module, a white screen with the headline "-1- An error occurred" and below "Unable to copy selected file!" appears.

Uninstall the module by browsing to the menu item Add-ons>Install/Uninstall and to the module tab therein. Here, select the module and uninstall it. Now re-install the module.
